What Is a Mirror Shine?

A mirror shine (high shine) is a traditional finish created by applying and polishing multiple layers of wax to produce a mirror-like glow on the toe.

It enhances the sense of luxury and refinement while bringing out the natural beauty of the leather. At Mon Model, our artisans carefully assess each pair individually and apply the finish with precision so as not to diminish the rich colors of hand-dyed “Senju-zome.”

・Because the finish is applied by hand by an artisan, it may take approximately 1–2 additional business days beyond the standard delivery time.

・The beautiful shine can be maintained by having the shoes polished again.
・Because the shoes are made of natural leather, the finish may vary depending on the leather quality and color.
