Rooted in Scotland’s traditional footwear, genuine ghillie shoes feature a unique structure without the quarters found on conventional leather shoes, fastening by wrapping the shoelaces around the foot.

We added quarters to these ghillie shoes and adapted them as men’s leather shoes. The result is a one-of-a-kind design with enhanced ruggedness and durability, perfectly suited to Mon Model customers.
These leather ghillie shoes combine tradition with original sensibility to create a pair that will excite you from the ground up.

Goodyear welt construction
Goodyear welt construction is also synonymous with high-end men’s footwear. Rather than stitching the upper and sole together in a single operation, the sole is attached using a “double-stitching” process in which they are sewn together in two stages. Because the shoes consist of many components and require complex production processes, they have a substantial weight and a sturdy feel. In return, they are highly durable and practical, and easy to maintain, including sole replacement. The comfortable fit that gradually envelops the foot as the shoes are worn is something that can only be experienced with Blake construction.
