About fill options

Mon Model’s Senju-zome leather shoes use a “Natural Finish” as the standard specification.
For those who would like to enjoy the artisan’s hand-dyed artistry even more, we offer three special dye finishes.

Because each pair is dyed by hand, no two pairs have exactly the same finish. This brings out the leather’s character even more richly, allowing you to enjoy a pair that is uniquely yours.

Brushstroke Finish

This dyeing technique involves an artisan using a brush to boldly layer dye in a vertical direction. The brush’s movements become part of the leather’s character, creating a beautiful, dynamic color gradation.

The appearance changes depending on the viewing angle and how the light falls, allowing you to appreciate the distinctive presence of handcrafted work. It is a bold, unique finish that blends the leather’s natural texture with the artisan’s brushwork.

Blurred Finish

This technique creates a marble-like effect by dyeing the material so that the boundaries between colors appear blurred. Its hallmark is the soft shading reminiscent of watercolor paintings or marble, creating a beautiful, richly dimensional look.

As the colors blend naturally, they create a sense of depth and luxury not found in mass-produced products. Enjoy an elegant, highly artistic finish.

Stippled Finish

This highly labor-intensive dyeing technique involves building up many layers by tapping the dye in finely. By gradually layering color like a stippled painting, it creates distinctive shading and depth.

Its delicate detail up close and rich sense of dimension from a distance are its defining characteristics. It is one of the most expressive finishes, requiring a high level of artisan skill and considerable time.
