Add “refined individuality” to your look. Double monk strap shoes that combine elegance and comfort.

A classic design with a hand-dyed, rich, deep color. A pair that combines visual beauty with comfort.

Double monk strap shoes with striking buckles combine a distinctive presence and elegance that lace-up shoes cannot match. In the Mon Model, this classic style is finished with hand-dyed “Senju-zome (hand patina),” creating a special look with unique character in every pair. They add a touch of flair to business attire while blending naturally into casual styles.

We’ve heard that it fits comfortably right from the start and doesn’t hurt.

Mon Model designs its shoe lasts to accommodate the wide feet and high insteps common among Japanese people.
As a result, many customers tell us that the shoes fit comfortably without feeling unfamiliar from the very first wear.

・They fit the shape of my feet, and I was able to wear them comfortably
・They are very comfortable and do not easily cause fatigue, even after walking all day
・I was surprised that they did not hurt, even though I had just bought them
・They fit my feet from the moment I put them on

Many customers also request sole replacement after their shoes have become worn.
This reflects their satisfaction with the comfort and their attachment to the shoes, as well as their desire to continue wearing them for a long time.

Blake construction

Blake construction is originally a traditional technique from Italy’s Marche region, and most Italian shoes are made using Blake construction. In this method, the upper and outsole are stitched directly through together. Thanks to its simple structure, it provides flexible sole movement and allows even soft leather to be made into shoes.
As you wear them in, the way they gradually conform to and envelop your feet is a distinctive feature of Blake construction. Because thin insoles and outsoles can be used, this method is characterized by a dressy, refined appearance, lightness, and flexible sole movement. As a method for producing high-end, sophisticated shoes, it maintains a unique position alongside Goodyear construction.

Four options for discerning customers

At Mon Model, we offer four options for those who want to create one-of-a-kind leather shoes: ① special finishing techniques to add even more individuality, ② a rubber half sole for enhanced functionality, ③ a sole color for discreet style, and ④ personalization with your name. Consider them for your very own pair.

Please note

Depending on your monitor’s color settings, the actual product may differ in color.
As natural leather is used, slight variations in color may occur. Small scratches, stains, or uneven coloring may also be present.
